This package implements the GREAT algorithm (the local GREAT analysis), also it supports directly interacting with the GREAT web service (the online GREAT analysis). Both analysis can be viewed by a Shiny application. rGREAT by default supports more than 600 organisms and a large number of gene set collections, as well as self-provided gene sets and organisms from users. Additionally, it implements a general method for dealing with background regions. authors: - family-names: Gu given-names: Zuguang email: guzuguang@suat-sz.edu.cn orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7395-8709 preferred-citation: type: article title: 'rGREAT: an R/Bioconductor package for functional enrichment on genomic regions' authors: - family-names: Gu given-names: Zuguang email: guzuguang@suat-sz.edu.cn orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7395-8709 - family-names: Huebschmann given-names: Daniel journal: Bioinformatics year: '2022' doi: 10.1093/bioinformatics/btac745 repository: https://bioc-release.r-universe.dev repository-code: https://github.com/jokergoo/rGREAT commit: a9b8c88c7db3abe99ab696cb02553f16496554fc url: http://great.stanford.edu/public/html/ date-released: '2026-01-30' contact: - family-names: Gu given-names: Zuguang email: guzuguang@suat-sz.edu.cn orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7395-8709
